Scholar Guan Gong
Guan Gong is a legendary figure in Chinese culture, renowned for his loyalty, righteousness, and wisdom. This work depicts him holding the Spring and Autumn Annals, an ancient Confucian classic of history that embodies justice and morality, as he is deeply engrossed in reading. The pose symbolizes cultivating virtue as the foundation of character and righteousness as the foundation of one’s endeavors. 作品介紹
關公是中華文化中的著名經典人物，以忠義與智慧聞名。作品取其手持《春秋》（中國古代儒家經典史書，內容表述正義與道德）凝神靜讀之姿，象徵以德立身、以義立業。自古以 來，關公被尊為誠信與正氣的守護者，而「文」之形象更寄託於仕途與學業的期許。此作提醒人在追求成就時不忘操守，寓意前程光明。
工藝賞析
本作以製作神像的虔誠之心，考究和細雕所有細節，造型部分皆以浮雕展現飽滿的立體感，包括鎧甲肩頭、繫帶處（含鞋子）都有獅頭雕刻，強化關公的正義形象；鎧甲甲片、官服龍紋鱗片皆細膩處理；就連官椅也都十分講究，不僅在扶手處雕刻龍首、椅腳更有虎頭虎爪及雙龍搶珠紋、椅背雕刻象徵吉祥的「壽」字紋和蝙蝠紋。鏤空的椅背處空間小，是琉園精湛工藝的具體表現。
